What You Need to Know
It depends on the person. Porto has more authenticity and more reasonable prices; Lisbon has more cosmopolitan life and more sun. Many expats choose Porto precisely because it is not Lisbon.
In the city of Porto, between €2,800 and €4,500/m² depending on the neighbourhood. Matosinhos and Gaia are more affordable. The inland Douro starts at €1,000/m².
